What is TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone)?
TSH, or thyroid-stimulating hormone, is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland that plays an important role in the body's hormone system. TSH stimulates the thyroid gland to produce the hormones thyroxine T4 Free and triiodothyronine (T3). These hormones are important for regulating the body's energy balance, metabolism and heat regulation.

What can a low value of TSH due to?
