Pollen allergy to ragweed is common in Sweden and the season usually occurs in late summer and early autumn. Ragweed begins to bloom in July and can last until September, depending on where in the country you are. The symptoms of house dust allergy can include a runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes and nose, as well as possible asthmatic symptoms.
Ragweed is one of the most common pollen allergies in Sweden. If you suspect that you are suffering from an allergy to ragweed pollen, you can take a blood test to find out if you have high levels of IgE antibodies, which is an indication of allergy.
It is important to note that an allergy test cannot detect or rule out an allergy 100%, the analysis can be used as a supplement to your possible symptoms and disease picture.
