Allergic reactions to foods can cause a variety of symptoms, such as skin rashes, swelling, stomach problems, breathing difficulties and anaphylaxis, which in some cases can be life-threatening.

This allergy test is good if you suspect an allergy to one or more of the most common allergens that cause allergic reactions. This allergy panel includes egg whites, cow's milk, peanuts and mustard. The test is performed by taking a blood sample which is then analyzed to measure the levels of IgE antibodies against each allergen. By testing you, you can identify the allergens that can cause allergic reactions and can thus take appropriate measures to avoid them and reduce your symptoms.

Detailed test results for each allergen

Your test results are reported for each specific allergen (allergy marker) included. The allergy test should not be confused with common allergy panels where you do not see which specific allergen you may have a hypersensitivity to or are allergic to.

It is important to note that an allergy test cannot detect or exclude an allergy 100%, the analysis can be used as a supplement to your possible symptoms and your existing disease picture.

Analysis of your blood samples takes place at Sweden's leading accredited laboratory Synlab, Unilabs or Karolinska University Laboratory.

It usually takes 1-5 working days to get your test results, these are sent to you continuously as the analysis is done. The doctors comment will appear in the final report when all test results have been received, provided it is included in your analysis.
