Blood status is a common blood test that includes the analysis and calculation of a number of different blood cells, including red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets (hemoglobin, erythrocytes, erythrocyte mean cell volume, hematocrit, leukocytes, hemoglobin mass and platelets).
The test gives you a more comprehensive picture of your particular blood status and is carried out with the aim of: measuring the amount of oxygen-carrying hemoglobin in the blood, evaluating the number of platelets in the blood, calculating what proportion of your blood consists of red blood cells, evaluating how your red the blood cells look and function and screen for possible inflammations and infections that affect your white blood cells.
